Your carpet acts as a filter in your home. The fibres grab particulates and contaminants, holding them but like all filters they need cleaning.

At Riverside we not only clean for appearance but also for health. Now with everybody trying to prevent heat loss in their properties it has never been as important to keep our carpets clean to ensure the indoor air quality is at it's best.

Riverside employ one of the most comprehensive cleaning processes to ensure your carpets are as clean as possible.

 

CLEANING PROCESS

PRE VACUUM

We will always pre vacuum the carpet to remove larger debris and soil which will help the cleaning process.

PRE SPOT

We will then carry out an inspection of the carpet and try to identify any stains and pre treat to improve total removal.

HEAVY DUTY PRE SPRAY

We then pre spray the whole carpet which will break down and lift oily dirt and pollutants from deep down in the fibres.

ROTARY BRUSH

Then we use an electric rotary brush to agitate the fibres, helping lift the dirt from the carpet.

WAIT

To allow time for the pre spray to work effectively we will wait for about 10-15 minutes.

HOT EXTRACT

We then use the carpet cleaning machine with a fabric and fibre rinse in the tank to remove contamination and residue from the carpet. This will leave your carpet in a clean and safe condition.

CARE

We will then put protective foil tabs under wooden furniture legs to prevent varnish/stain leaching in to the damp carpet which then can be removed once the carpet is dry.

DRYING

At Riverside, We believe for a carpet to be soft and fluffy it should dry naturally. However,  we can use a fan on the carpet while we clean other carpets to speed up the drying. Normally dry within 3-5 hours.
